I'll overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Ex two time world title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, frequently receiving huge earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Size Difference
As the two fighters participated in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
