The country's energy systems have faced increased attacks in recent weeks

Russian forces has intensified strikes on power infrastructure over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "real steps" from partner nations to exert influence on Russia.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty rockets struck energy facilities, labeling such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.

Energy officials said Russia was "launching a major assault" and repair crews were laboring to repair systems.

A wave of strikes hit electrical systems and residential structures in the capital.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the assaults on the capital have been taken to hospital, per statements from municipal representatives.
